Crann Ireland’s Tree Magazine
Well done to Mr Newman (Green Schools) and Mr Smyth along with his Agricultural science class, now in 6th Year who were pictured in ‘Crann’, Ireland’s tree magazine in the Tidy Towns, caring for our environment section. They helped planting 50 tree saplings in Coláiste Phobal’s tree nursery. This is great work and deservedly recognised nationally. Keep up the great work.
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann
Well done to Teresa Maher (5th Year) who achieved 2nd place in the Under 18 Bodhrán competition at the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Drogheda in August representing Roscrea Comhaltas branch. This is a fantastic achievement. Congratulations also to all other Coláiste Students who took part in Drogheda. We are very proud of you all.
The Chaser
‘The Chaser’ will take place in the Racket Hall Hotel, Roscrea on Thursday October 10th at 8pm. There is €3,000 to be won in prize money on the night. All tickets stubs are entered into our multiple draws on the night where exotic and unique prizes will be won! A group ticket costs €30 for a Family or 4 adults ticket. A single ticket costs €10. All proceeds will go to our Wellbeing/Autism Unit fund. We hope that this event will be a huge success and enable us to have a meaningful impact for our students both present and future.
