Passing of our Former Teaching Colleague

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our former teaching colleague Pat Coonan. Pat was a wonderful English teacher and instilled the love of the language to all his students. He was actively involved in debating, cultural days, school concerts, Drama and in later years the annual school musical. He was formerly of St. Conlon’s Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. Pat is deeply regretted by his loving wife Marion, daughters Jenny and Emma, their partners Paul and Dylan, brothers John and Mike, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, work colleagues, good neighbours and many friends. All of us in Coláiste extend our deepest sympathy to his family and he will be fondly remembered by us all. May Pat rest in peace.

Re-opening Mass

We thank Fr. Lorcan for celebrating a beautiful and very meaningful mass from the school Oratory on Wednesday 26th August. It went out live on the Coláiste Facebook page. It was especially for all our students, staff and their families before returning to school and he wished everyone a happy and safe year ahead and all will be kept in his thoughts and prayers.

Phased re-opening
Coláiste started back with a staff meeting on Thursday 27th August and all years have returned one-year group a day since Friday 28th August. We are now well set up for the year ahead and look forward to getting back to routine and normality. We wish all students and staff the very best for the coming year which may be strange but we will rise to all challenges put before us!

Leaving Cert Results
Well done and best wishes to our Leaving cert class of 2020 who received their results on Monday 7th Sept. All did very well and we look forward to welcoming them back for a Graduation event in the not too distant future hopefully.
